Avempartha - I can't even say what about this
book I enjoyed so much, but I was completely absorbed by
it. When I describe the plot above, it seems
straightforward. And I guess it is. But it's
told in a very compelling way. |

Nyphron Rising
- Michael
J. Sullivan is not a surprise for me anymore, but an
author that already established his place within the
fantasy genre. “Nyphron Rising”, like Sullivan’s
previous novels, offers an adventurous tale and a
captivating story, returning to the roots and values of
the classical fantasy. |

The
Crown Conspiracy I enjoyed the
characters in this book, particularly Hadrian, Royce
& the sweetest monk ever...What’s refreshing about
this book is that none of the characters really has the
fantasy character prototypes working. The plot, too, was
interesting and
fast-paced. |

Griffin'
Daughter - I think Moore has produced an excellent
debut novel here. The story is well imagined and
well crafted, her imagery and style making for an easy
pleasurable read...So to summarize, I think
Griffin’s Daughter is a welcome and excellent
addition to the fantasy genre. |

Nyphron Rising
- The
second half of the book, however, is amazing and
probably constitutes Mr. Sullivan's strongest work
yet...Nyphron Rising is another capable installment in a
fantastic series. Fans of the Riyria Revelations will
not be disappointed." |

Crown
Conspiracy is a
well-written and enjoyable novel. I was invested in the
characters and their travails. Royce and Hadrian's
friendship was particularly fun to read...Michael J.
Sullivan is an appealing writer and I'll be interested

future. |

Avempartha - Mr. Sullivan continues to
impress. In Royce and Hadrian he has created some of the
best characters the genre has seen in some time, and in
Avempartha he shows that he knows what to do with them.
These books should be in every bookstore and I really
hope that they are someday. |

Avempartha - “Avempartha” is the second novel
in “The Riyria Revelations”, but like the previous
novel, “The Crown Conspiracy”, can as easily be read as
a standalone. Also both novels offer a delightful
reading, captivating adventures and a very interesting
author. I am certain that I will hear more of Michael J.
Sullivan in the future. |

Rising - Among
the book covers that I liked lately are those done for
the novels in The Riyria Revelations series. I like the
simplicity of these covers and the link with the story,
“The Crown Conspiracy” and “Avempartha” feature the
places found in the central attention of two lovely
characters, Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater.

only a great book in its own right, delivering on
Michael’s promise to give us stand-alones within a

Griffin's Shadow -
Griffin’s Shadow is a masterfully crafted fantasy
adventure which immerses readers in it’s characters and
wonderfully created universe. Once again, Moore
seamlessly weaves in issues of prejudice while advancing
the story. |

Fantasy Debut |
Griffin's Shadow -
I'm actually about one-quarter of the way through
Griffin's Shadow by Leslie Ann Moore. It continues with
the story of Jelena as she goes to meet her father, the
king of the Elves. Right away she finds herself in the
midst of political maneuvering. The repressed half-elves
of the novel are fascinating, and there's a satisfying
amount of conflict, especially from an unexpected
source. |
